I've heard people say so many things about how they were mother that really kind of, you know, disturbed me. I don't want my child to fear me. You know, the idea that you see a little girl crying and getting her hair done and think I would have gotten in trouble for that is really sad. And maybe it's just the age bracket that I'm in, but I feel like I feel more recently like videos of like small, like black girls specifically getting their hair braided and they're like crying because it can be painful.
