Is There a Fine Line Between Genius and Madness?
The book is an attempt to cram as many of those of my favourite stories in using art as an excuse, really. One of my favorite characters is from his Australian folk hero that we don't know very much about here in England called Arthur Stace. He learned how to write eternity beautifully and spent pretty much the rest of his life trying to spread this message. So that's obviously that's not madness. And it's a singular mindset that I completely admire and obsess with. It's such a wonderful story.
