Paul Rubens: A Celebrity of the 1980s

Paul Rubens died Sunday after privately battling cancer for six years. He rose to fame as the quirky character Pee Wee Herman in movies and television. In 1991, reruns of his show were pulled from CBS following an indecent exposure arrest. Years later, he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor obscenity charge. After retreating from his most popular personality, Rubens starred in Blow before eventually returning as Pee Wee on the big screen with a 2016 movie.
