The Future of Chatbots
ChatGPT gave us each a window into the fact that these systems are astoundingly quick and pretty good at producing plausibly shaped responses in two prompts. We could kind of rationally understand that, and we're trusting that, you know, this really is a milestone moving forward. But it actually takes a bit of resistance to not anthropomorphize them because the interaction we are performing with them is one we are primarily familiar with having with real humans.
