The History of Africans in the Tudor Period

In the Tudor period, Britain had a particular relationship with Europe and Africa. Most Africans who were in the country at this time probably came from Spain or Portugal. They didn't automatically come through involvement of English human traffickers. People often point to proclamations that Elizabeth Tudor is supposed to have made relating to there being too many Africans in the kingdom. But new analysis suggests they were not implemented.
