Algeria's Civil War Comes to an End

More than one in four algerians under the age of 30 are currently unemployed. Oil and gas account for 98 % of algerias exports, despite the unemployment. The government say they will give money to the unemployed now, but they're only offering 80 uros a month. For these young men in algiers, corruption seems to have taken over from colonialism as the prominent enemy. It was 20 years ago this month that algeria's barbarous civil war came to an end. French soldiers once called it deadly, but ond 50 thousand algerians just call it home.
