So what we look for is what the source is, where we ha maximum genetic diversity. Or i guess in language, it would be maximum phonim diversity. You tend to get the most phonms, apparently. That's because this complexity tends to get lost. When a population moves, it's at risk of losing something that it's started with. The further away you go from africa, the fewer phonms you have. Apparently, the fewest of all on a couple of pacific islands.
