The Impossibility of Happiness

People think happiness is having everything you want, he says. He asks: Would it be possible for God to have created a world in which there was this neutral or independent material medium in which we could meet and play? Could God bring that about? Do you really want an independent material medium, a world with a predictable nature of its own, or do you want continual miracles and basically natural chaos?
