President byden will get another briefing this morning on the federal response to those tornadoes and the extreme weather that impacted multiple states on friday night. On saturday, byden approved an emergency declaration for kentucky and said his administration is ready to do whatever is needed to help with relief efforts. He also said he plans to visit the states soon to survey the damage himself. The gove of kentucky asked president bydon for that federal assistance in the wake of the disaster. And republican senator rand paul of kENTUCKY followed with a letter to the president, asking that he move, quote, expeditiously to approve the funds.
