Dr. Livesey met the squire at his home in Bristol, where he was staying with Jim Hawkins. The doctor had a clue about Blackbeard's treasure and wanted to take him along on a search for it. But when Mr. Dantz finished his ale Dr. Livesey said: 'I propose we should have up the cold pie, and let him sap' And so they sat down together eating pigeon pie until their food ran out.
