One of the main problems I sometimes see is that developers preload, so they use the preload directive for an async or a defer JavaScript. Usually that's not the best idea ever, and they don't always understand exactly how preload works. The browser decides what the order of the loading of the resources should be. That's kind of interacts with the protocol because the protocol gives you the features called prioritization.
