The Philosophical Babies
One of the big philosophical questions that we can ask about babies is what's it like to be a baby? What's consciousness like in babies? And again, those philosophers who didn't think very much babies for all those years often said, well, babies don't have very much consciousness. But I think when you actually look at the science, the neuroscience and the cognitive science, it suggests that we may have a really different kind of consciousness when we're babies. It's more like something that's illuminating the whole world.
