Julie Yoffe: The Biden administration has a very different public posture on the war in Ukraine from where it's all defiance and optimism. Ben Landy: It sounds like there's a very different sort of private sentiment behind closed doors. He says some people are worried that freezing this conflict would just mean kicking the can down the road and getting a bigger, more horrible war later.
