The Texas Heat Wave Is Coming to an End

More than 50 million americans are under severe thunderstorm watches this evening, from virginia to maine. Gunshots at dalas lovefield airport late this morning sent passengers inside and out into hiding, stopping flights for several hours. Excessive heat warnings and advisories are also in the forecast for the pacific northwest, including washington, oregon, and northern california. The storm should last through ten p m eastern and likely break the northeastern heat wave.
