It's a Name Storm
The film touches on an aspect of the murmystery story, i think, like we don't get from a lot of other ones. By identifying with the civilian character, you can really put yourself in the shoes of someone who isn't able to get a warrant or interrogate suspects. The difference between evidence and what's true becomes kind of a central theme, especially in the second half. There are other great murder mystery films, but i think there's this one in particular that makes it so effective and makes it so enticing for people to keep returned to.
