On an ordinary spring morning in the small Massachusetts town of Beckitt, residents receive a terrifying alert: a ballistic missile is inbound and they must seek immediate shelter.

As people scramble to protect their families and confront what they believe may be their final moments, long‑buried tensions surface.

When the alert is revealed as a false alarm, the relief is quickly followed by a reckoning, as characters such as Russ, Nina, Milly, and David grapple with the choices they made under pressure.
