Brother Odd

Odd Thomas, grieving the loss of his love Stormy, retreats to St. Bartholomew's Abbey in the Sierra Nevada mountains, hoping for peace among monks and children with disabilities.

Accompanied by the ghost of Elvis, he detects bodachs—harbingers of violence—and a sinister bony creature called the Neverwas, drawn through the drawings of a young artist named Jacob.

As danger escalates with mysterious disappearances and attacks, Odd teams up with abbey residents, including a former hitman and a physicist, to avert disaster and confront an ancient evil.
