Flower Fairies

Cicely Mary Barker's Flower Fairies series consists of eight original volumes published between 1923 and 1985, featuring 170 exquisite watercolor illustrations of fairies representing different flowers and plants across the seasons.

Each fairy is accompanied by original verses and is modeled on real children from Barker's sister's kindergarten, while the flowers are painted with botanical accuracy often with assistance from Kew Gardens.

The series gained significant popularity partly due to Queen Mary's well-known interest in fairy art, and the books have enchanted both children and adults worldwide for nearly a century.
