The Amphilochia

Volume 1
Book •
The Amphilochia (Amphilochia) is a compendium of Saint Photios' responses to hundreds of questions about Scripture, theology, and ecclesiastical practice, compiled into multiple volumes; Volume 1 contains the first set of questions and translations by Tikan Pino.

Saint Photios (9th century) is famed for his erudition, the Bibliotheca, and his role as Patriarch of Constantinople and promoter of Slavic missions.

This translated edition aims to provide English-speaking readers access to Photios' dense Greek prose, exegetical method, and patristic theology.

The work demonstrates Photios' philological skill, biblical memory, and integration of liturgical, canonical, and theological interpretation.

Published by Patristic Nectar Publications, the volume includes summaries and will be followed by further volumes to complete the Amphilochia.
